AZGARD

~/ai-consultant/ca · azgard in canada

ai consultant for canada.

Canada is not short of programs teaching small business owners what AI does. Azgard does the part that comes after the workshop: one engineer in Sydney building AI into your quoting, your scheduling and your client follow-up, inside the software you already pay for, then handing it over for your own people to run.

Canadian businesses have started using AI in real numbers. Statistics Canada put the share producing goods or delivering services with it at 19.2 per cent in the second quarter of 2026, triple the 6.1 per cent recorded when the question was first asked two years earlier. The average hides the part that matters here. Information and finance firms sit above forty per cent, while construction is at 9.2 per cent and wholesale trade at 7.9 per cent: the sectors full of owner-run companies that quote, schedule, dispatch and invoice, and that carry most of what they know in a few people's heads.

The support side of the country is unusually well developed. The Toronto Region Board of Trade runs a federally funded AI Business Catalyst for southern Ontario businesses. The Greater Vancouver Board of Trade has published a full agenda for accelerating AI adoption in British Columbia. The Ottawa Board of Trade sat down with small firms and found the barrier is not money, it is know-how and bandwidth. Every one of those is worth your time. None of them will open your quotes and build the thing. Azgard is one engineer who does only that: a working system inside your own accounts and files, written in plain English, run by your own staff after the engagement closes.

common questions

asked from canada.

How do calls work between Canada and Sydney?
Sydney is a day ahead, so the shared window sits in your afternoon and it shifts by coast. Vancouver has the easiest run of it: one or two in the afternoon on the Pacific coast is early the next morning in Sydney, so your end of the call falls inside a normal working day. Calgary sits an hour tighter, and Toronto and Ottawa tighter again, which puts Eastern sessions at four o'clock or later. Nothing else waits on a shared hour. The building happens in your own accounts between sessions, and every call is recorded and written up for whoever missed it.
Are prices in Canadian dollars, and who are we contracting with?
Prices show in Canadian dollars and payment is by card. The company behind them is Australian. There is no Canadian entity, no Canadian office and nobody on the ground here, so the agreement is with an Australian business and the invoice arrives from one. If your bookkeeper needs particular paperwork for a foreign supplier, or your accountant has a view on how it should be treated, raise it before you buy rather than at year end.
What does an engagement actually look like?
It starts small on purpose. A two-hour AI Fundamentals session for the people who run the business comes first, so whatever gets decided afterwards is decided by people who understand the tools. Then a done-with-you Kickstart puts a Company Brain on top of your real quotes, jobs and documents rather than a sample set. What follows is your choice: an audit of a single process, one pilot build, or an ongoing capability partnership. No part of it asks for a year of commitment before you have seen something working.
How do we choose an AI consultant, and when is Azgard the wrong choice?
Four questions do most of the sorting. Who writes the code, by name. What do you own when it is finished. What stops working if you stop paying. And what will they tell you AI is not going to fix in your business. Azgard's answers do not move: one engineer builds it, everything sits in accounts you control, nothing switches off when the invoices stop, and the list of things this will not fix arrives in the first session. The wrong fit is just as easy to describe. If you need a supplier who can be in the room, or a team rather than a person, or somebody to operate the system for you permanently, hire a Canadian firm and do not let a lower price talk you out of it.
Does our data have to stay in Canada, and where does it end up?
Everything is built inside accounts your business owns, so where the data sits is decided by your own settings with your own providers rather than by Azgard. If you have a residency requirement, whether it comes from a federal contract, a professional body or your own policy, say so in the first conversation and it shapes which tools get used instead of being patched on afterwards. What Azgard will not do is tell you what your obligations are. That is a question for your own advisers, and a consultant who answers it confidently for free is guessing.
